Overview of Role

The Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Hyderabad invites applications for the position of Project Manager to contribute to research and development activities in the technology vertical of Autonomous Navigation and Data Acquisition Systems.

The work is expected to contribute towards fundamental knowledge and technologies, including intellectual property, publications, products, commercialization, licensing and technology transfer.

Key Responsibilities & Research Scope

The selected candidate will contribute to activities including:

• Collection and review of relevant research literature

• Working in one or more identified technical domains

• Coordinating research activities with the project team

• Handling experimental and computational facilities

• Report preparation and laboratory management

• Interaction with sponsoring agencies

• Supporting development of research products/outcomes with the maximum possible Technology Readiness Level (TRL)

Relevant Technical Domains

Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

• UAV, UGV and Autonomous Systems

• Digital Signal Processing

• Communications and Networking

• Artificial Intelligence

• Deep Learning Techniques

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

Candidates should possess:

• Ph.D. / Master's Degree, along with BE/B.Tech. or equivalent, in:

  • Computer Science

  • Electronics & Communication Engineering

  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering

  • Information Technology

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Aerospace Engineering

• Relevant research and/or industrial experience.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates should have a CGPA of 7.5 or above at both undergraduate and Master's levels.

• Strong academic record and good writing skills are required.

• Publications in standard journals will be an added advantage.

• Candidates should not have publications in predatory journals.

• Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting thesis defence are also encouraged to apply.

Experience

Required Experience: 0–1 Year

Candidates with relevant academic research, industrial exposure or technical project experience in the listed domains will be suitable for the role.

Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly pay of INR 35,000 to INR 42,000, which is negotiable.

If selected, the candidate cannot avail any other fellowship in parallel.

Duration of Appointment

The appointment will initially be for 1 year.

Extension may be provided based on the candidate's performance and project requirements.
