Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites applications for one SRD (Direct) position under a research project in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Selection will be conducted through an online interview via Google Meet.

Position Overview

Project Title

Development of interferometric workflow for ScanSAR mode data and tools for SAR interferogram quality improvement by developing algorithms for baseline refinement, phase noise reduction etc.

The selected candidate will work on this project in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, IIT Guwahati.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• M.Tech. in Signal/Image Processing or equivalent

OR

• B.Tech. in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science selected through a process such as:

  • National Eligibility Test

  • CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship / Assistant Professorship

  • GATE

  • National-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies/institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.

Additionally, candidates should have:

• 2 years of experience in the development of digital signal/image processing algorithms

Research Area

The project involves research and development in areas including:

• Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)

• ScanSAR data processing

• SAR interferometry

• Interferogram quality improvement

• Baseline refinement

• Phase noise reduction

• Digital signal and image processing algorithms

Remuneration

Recommended Pay: INR 42,000 per month
HRA: INR 8,400 per month
Medical: INR 1,250 per month

Total Monthly Amount: INR 51,650

Appointment Duration

The appointment will be for:

8 months
