Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites applications for one Research Associate-I position under a research project at the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Sustainability (SiSaS).

Position Overview

About the Project

The project investigates the stability, dynamics and interactions of biomolecular systems under high-pressure and salt-rich environments, with particular relevance to understanding their implications for Martian habitability.

The selected Research Associate will contribute to interdisciplinary research involving chemical sciences, biotechnology, biomolecular systems and computational/experimental approaches.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• PhD in Chemical Science, Chemistry or Biotechnology

• A strong publication record, including first-author papers in Q1 journals

Desirable Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Hands-on experience in protein expression and purification

• Advanced expertise in:

  • Solution NMR spectroscopy

  • Relaxation dispersion methods

  • Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations

Remuneration

Recommended Pay: INR 58,000 per month
HRA: INR 11,600 per month
Medical: INR 1,250 per month

Total Monthly Amount: INR 70,850

Appointment Duration

The Research Associate-I position is for 11 months.

The selection will be conducted through an Offline/Online Interview.
