The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites applications for 01 Project Research Scientist-I position in the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) for a research project focused on recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody production. Selection will be conducted through an offline interview.

Position Overview

Project Title

“Production of Recombinant Humanized Monoclonal Antibody, Ibalizumab and its Variants from Pichia pastoris”

The project involves advanced research in recombinant biotechnology, monoclonal antibody production, bioprocess engineering, and molecular biosciences.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess either:

• First-Class Postgraduate Degree, including an Integrated PG Degree

OR

• Second-Class Postgraduate Degree, including an Integrated PG Degree, with a Ph.D.

Desirable Experience

Preference will be given to candidates having hands-on experience in:

• Recombinant DNA Technology

• Bioprocess Engineering

• Metabolic Engineering

• Mammalian Cell Culture-related work

Salary / Emoluments

Duration of Appointment

The initial appointment will be for:

4 months

The appointment may be extended depending on project requirements and applicable institute conditions.

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted through an offline interview.
