The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites applications for the position of Project Scientist-I under a research project in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. The selected candidate will work on an interdisciplinary initiative involving blockchain, IoT, AI/ML, smart agriculture, and solar-powered commercial mushroom production.

Position Overview

Project Title

Developing Cooperative Modelled Enterprises for Revolutionizing Commercial Ecosystem (COMERCE), driven by blockchain technology, to boost organic mushroom production by application of state-of-the-art smart IoT/AI/ML Enabled Solar Powered Commercial Mushroom Production (ISCOMP) solutions for the upliftment of ST Community of Nagaland

The project combines emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and solar-powered smart agriculture solutions to support commercial mushroom production and community development.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess any of the following qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Engineering / Technology / Science

OR

• Master's degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university, preferably in:

  • Electronics

  • Computer Science

  • Information Technology

  • Agriculture

  • Or an equivalent/relevant discipline

  and

  • Minimum 3 years of Research and Development experience in industrial and academic institutions, Science and Technology organizations, or related scientific activities and services.

OR

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology, preferably in:

  • Electronics

  • Computer Science

  • Information Technology

  • Agriculture

  • Or a related discipline

  with at least 10 years of relevant industrial experience.

Salary & Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive:

• Recommended Pay: INR 56,000

• HRA: INR 11,200

• Medical: INR 1,250

• Total Monthly Compensation: INR 68,450

Selection Process / Interview

Selection will be conducted through an Offline Interview.

• Venue: E&ICT Office, Technology Complex, IIT Guwahati

• Mode: Offline / In-Person
