Position Overview

Project Title

“MOF-Based Multifunctional Nano Platform for Cartilage Regeneration”

The selected Research Associate-I will work on an interdisciplinary research project involving biomaterials, nanotechnology, molecular and cell biology, drug-delivery systems, and cartilage regeneration.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in one of the following or a closely related discipline:

• Biotechnology

• Life Sciences

• Biomedical Engineering

• Materials Science

• Pharmaceutical Sciences

• Nanotechnology

Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply.

Academic Requirements

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards

• Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class 10 and Class 12

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Strong hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture

• Experience in molecular biology techniques

• qRT-PCR

• Western blotting

• ELISA

• Immunofluorescence

• Flow cytometry

• Confocal microscopy

• Experience in immunology or inflammatory disease models

• Experience with nanoparticles, liposomes, hydrogels, or MOF-based drug-delivery systems

• Experience in animal handling and preclinical studies

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Design and conduct molecular and cell biology experiments

• Perform mammalian cell culture and cellular assays

• Conduct gene and protein expression studies

• Perform qRT-PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry

• Assist in synthesis, characterization, and biological evaluation of nanomaterials and MOFs

• Contribute to drug-delivery system development and evaluation

• Participate in small-animal studies and tissue analysis, where required

• Analyse and interpret experimental data

Salary / Remuneration

The advertisement specifies:

INR 54,200 per month

House Rent Allowance of INR 7,200 per month, if applicable, will be governed by IIT Gandhinagar norms.

Appointment Duration

The initial appointment will be for:

1 Year

The position may be extended based on satisfactory performance and applicable project conditions.
