Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has invited applications from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a sponsored research project in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

Organization Details

Eligibility

Candidates must have either:

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Metallurgy/Materials Science and Engineering or equivalent with GATE qualification; OR

• M.Sc. in Chemistry/Materials Science and allied streams with Mathematics at the undergraduate level, along with GATE/UGC-NET qualification.

Salary

INR 37,000 per month

Duration

24 months, with the possibility of enrolling in the PhD programme, subject to applicable rules.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to conduct:

• Experiments

• Characterization studies

• Flow-sheet development

• Research related to the recovery of potash values
