About the Opportunity

The Ministry of Education is seeking an accomplished academic leader to serve as Director of IIT Delhi.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should fulfil the following requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree level, preferably in an Engineering discipline.

• Alternative Disciplines: In exceptional cases, candidates holding degrees in Science, Mathematics, or Management may also be considered.

• Academic Experience: Minimum 10 years of teaching experience as a Professor at a reputed Engineering or Technology Institute or University.

• Administrative Experience: Minimum 5 years of administrative experience.

• Research Profile: Outstanding academic record throughout the candidate's career.

• Research Supervision: Experience guiding Ph.D. students.

• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities and institutional management capabilities.

Age Criteria

Applicants should preferably be below 60 years of age on the last date of receipt of applications.

Salary and Benefits

The position offers:

• Fixed Monthly Pay: INR 2,25,000 (Revised)

• Additional Allowances: As per applicable Government of India rules.
