The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) invites applications for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on a contractual basis under a DRDO-DYSL-SM/CARS sponsored research project.

Position Overview

Project Title

Development of Protective Fuel-proof Coating on Self-Healing Mechanism

The selected candidate will contribute to research involving advanced protective coatings, organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, and self-healing material systems.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• M.Sc. in Chemistry

• Preference for candidates with specialization in:

  • Organic Chemistry, or

  • Polymer Chemistry

• Candidates should have qualified GATE/CSIR-JRF in Chemistry, as prescribed by the funding agency.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates having a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in areas such as:

• Organic synthesis

• Characterisation of small organic molecules

• Polymer synthesis

• Polymer functionalization

Fellowship

The selected Senior Research Fellow will receive:

INR 42,000 per month + INR 4,200 per month as 10% HRA

Duration of Appointment

The initial appointment will be for one year.

The position may be extended for one additional year, depending on the candidate's performance and project requirements.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years

• Age relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.
