Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for 01 Research Associate-I position on a purely contractual basis under an ANRF-funded research project.

Position Overview

Project Title

“Total Syntheses of Cryspatanolide and Euonymimol Using Site-Selective Olefin Functionalization and Process Development of Anticancer Drug Trabectedin”

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• Ph.D. degree in Chemistry

Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree may also apply.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• Can provide evidence of having conducted high-quality research during or after their Ph.D. programme

• Have experience in organic synthesis

• Have experience in natural product synthesis

Fellowship / Salary

Candidates with Ph.D. Certificate

INR 58,000 per month + 10% HRA

Candidates Awaiting Award of Ph.D.

INR 42,000 per month + 10% HRA

Such candidates must provide a letter from a competent authority confirming that:

• The Ph.D. thesis has been submitted, and

• Final viva/defense is pending.

Tenure

The initial appointment will be for seven months.

The position may be renewed subject to:

• Satisfactory performance

• Project requirements

The appointment is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Age Limit

Candidates should preferably be not more than 40 years of age as on the closing date of the advertisement.
