Technical Officer / Senior Project Associate Recruitment 2026 – IISER Tirupati

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati (IISER Tirupati) invites applications from Indian nationals for one Technical Officer / Senior Project Associate position under an extramural research project. The appointment is purely contractual and co-terminus with the project.

Position Overview

About the Project

The selected candidate will work on the extramural research project:

“Immune responses associated with severe dengue infection”

The project is led by Prof. Guruprasad R. Medigeshi at IISER Tirupati.

Essential Qualification & Experience

Candidates should meet one of the following qualification routes:

Route 1

• Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, OR

• Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, OR

• BVSc, OR

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Biotechnology / Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent

AND

• Four years of experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or Science & Technology organizations and scientific activities and services

Route 2

• Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (Biological Sciences) from a recognized university or equivalent

AND

• Two years of experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or S&T organizations and scientific activities and services

Route 3

• Doctoral Degree in Life Science / Bio-Engineering / Biotechnology from a recognized university or equivalent

• At least one first-author peer-reviewed publication indexed in a public database such as PubMed, SCOPUS, etc.

Desirable Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Infectious disease research

• Mammalian cell culture

• Handling of pathogenic viruses

• Protein expression and purification

• Molecular biology techniques

Monthly Emoluments

INR 57,000 per month + 10% HRA

Age Limit

Candidates should be not more than 50 years of age as on the date of interview.

Appointment Duration

The initial appointment will be for six months.

The position may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance. It is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
