Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati (IISER Tirupati) invites applications from Indian nationals for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I position under a DST-SERB funded research project. The appointment is purely on a contract basis.

Position Overview

Project Title

A Multiscale Study of Photoswitchable Drugs for Optimal Control of G-Protein Coupled Receptors

About the Opportunity

The position is available under a DST-SERB, Government of India-funded research project at IISER Tirupati.

The selected candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Padmabati Mondal on research involving photoswitchable drugs and G-Protein Coupled Receptors.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• M.Sc. in Physics / Chemistry, or an equivalent degree

• Minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade

Desirable Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates having experience in:

• Quantum chemical calculations

• Molecular dynamics simulations

• Computational Chemistry

Fellowship

For National Eligibility Test Qualified Candidates

INR 37,000 per month + 10% HRA

Applicable to scholars selected through:

• CSIR-UGC NET, including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship

• GATE

• National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies/institutions

For Other Eligible Candidates

INR 30,000 per month + 10% HRA

Appointment Duration

The position is initially temporary for three months.

Extension may be considered after a review of performance.

Age Limit

Candidates should preferably not be more than 50 years of age as on the closing date of the advertisement.

Nature of Appointment

The position is offered purely on a contract basis under the DST-SERB-funded project.
