The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune (IISER Pune) invites applications from Indian nationals for one temporary and contractual Research Associate position under a sponsored research project in the Department of Science and Technology (DST) – Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) framework.

Position Overview

About the Project

The selected Research Associate will work on the project titled:

“Studies on Continuous Flow Domino Borrowing Alkylation Strategy towards Heterocycles and Alkaloids”

The research position is focused on organic chemistry and continuous-flow chemistry, particularly innovative approaches for synthesizing homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts.

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Hands-on experience in Organic Synthesis

• Hands-on experience in Catalysis

• Hands-on experience in Flow Chemistry

Job Requirements

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Carry out innovative chemical synthesis

• Work on homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis

• Perform research using flow chemistry

• Contribute to the objectives of the sponsored research project

Remuneration

INR 47,000 per month + 30% House Rent Allowance (HRA)
