The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India.

Position Overview

Project Title

Physics-Informed Machine Learning for Quantum Materials: Accelerating Prediction and Design of Semiconductor Quantum Dots for Single-Photon Based Quantum Technologies

The project focuses on combining physics-informed machine learning, computational methods, quantum materials, and semiconductor quantum dots for applications in emerging single-photon-based quantum technologies.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• B.Sc. or equivalent in:

  • Chemistry

  • Physics

  • Applied Mathematics

  • Or related disciplines

• M.Sc. or equivalent in:

  • Theoretical & Computational Chemistry

  • Physics

  • Applied Mathematics

  • Or related disciplines

• Candidates should have a valid qualification in:

  • CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) and/or

  • GATE, or

  • An equivalent national-level examination.
