About the Research Project

Project Title:

Enantioselective remote functionalization: a unified platform for collective total synthesis of various alkaloid and terpenoid natural products and bis-spirofluorenes for chiroptical properties and applications as OLED materials.

The project involves advanced research in synthetic organic chemistry, focusing on enantioselective functionalization and the synthesis of natural products and functional organic materials.

Research areas include:

• Enantioselective remote functionalization

• Total synthesis of alkaloid and terpenoid natural products

• Synthesis of bis-spirofluorenes

• Chiroptical properties of organic compounds

• Organic materials for OLED applications

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• M.Sc. in Chemistry (First Class) from a recognized university or institute.

• Specialization in Organic Chemistry, which is compulsory.

• A valid NET (CSIR/UGC JRF/LS) or GATE qualification.

Desirable Qualifications

Candidates with some form of research experience will be preferred.

Research experience in organic chemistry or related experimental research areas may be relevant to the advertised project.

Fellowship and Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive:

INR 37,000 per month + HRA (as applicable).

HRA will be provided according to applicable provisions.

Appointment Duration

• Initial Duration: 12 months

• Extension: Possible, subject to evaluation of performance

The appointment is associated with the ANRF-funded research project.
