The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal has invited applications for 01 Project-Based Research Assistant (RA) position on a temporary basis for an ICSSR-funded research project.

Eligibility

Essential Qualification

• Postgraduate degree in a Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.

• NET / M.Phil. / Ph.D.

Desirable

• Experience in research related to migration, labour, work, inequality, exclusion and family.

• Knowledge of SPSS and Atlas-Ti.

• Experience conducting interviews and surveys.

• Basic understanding of Hindi.

Roles & Responsibilities

The selected Research Assistant will be involved in:

• Data collection

• Literature review

• Data analysis

• Fieldwork and travelling to the Eastern part of Uttar Pradesh for data collection.

Salary

INR 37,000 per month
Consolidated pay with no other allowances.

Duration

6 months from the date of joining.

The appointment may be extended or terminated earlier depending on the availability of funds and the candidate's performance.

Age Limit

Maximum 50 years as on the date of advertisement.

Age relaxation will be applicable to SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled and exceptional candidates as per Government norms.
