Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has invited online applications for the position of Administrative Associate (Library). Candidates with a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science and relevant academic-institution experience can apply by 27 September 2026.

Position Overview

Job Responsibilities

The Administrative Associate (Library) will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Librarian in providing library and information services to faculty members, students, and other stakeholders.

• Cataloguing, classification, and other technical processing of library resources.

• Handling and managing the circulation counter, including membership, circulation, reminders, overdue charges, and other day-to-day activities.

• Using online and offline databases/e-resources to answer research queries.

• Assisting users in accessing library resources and services.

• Maintaining inventory, registers, and other library-related statistics.

• Monitoring the maintenance and upkeep of the library.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• Master of Library and Information Science (MLISc) or an equivalent qualification.

• Minimum three years of relevant experience in an academic institution of repute.

Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of:

INR 40,000 – INR 45,000 per month

An annual increment of INR 3,000 may be provided in case of re-engagement.

Age Limit

The candidate should preferably be below 45 years of age.

Contract Duration

• Appointment will initially be made on a purely contractual basis for one year from the date of joining.

• The contract may be renewed annually based on satisfactory performance and the requirements of the Institute.

• The total engagement will generally be limited to three years.

Selection Process

• Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

• Interviews may be conducted in person or online.

• Applicants should provide a valid email ID and phone number in their application.

• Merely fulfilling the prescribed qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview call.
