Position Overview

Research Focus

The Research Associate will support multiple projects focusing on sustainability and sustainable behaviour.

Research topics may include:

• Agriculture

• Food waste

• Electricity consumption

• Paper consumption

• Sustainable consumer behaviour

• Behavioural interventions

• Related sustainability issues

The position will involve both laboratory and field experiments, with emphasis on applying behavioural insights to sustainability-related problems.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in:

• Economics

• Public Policy

• Management

• Any other related field

The position may be especially relevant to candidates considering a future PhD in Behavioural Economics, Management or related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

The selected Research Associate will be responsible for:

• Cleaning, managing and analysing data using Stata

• Supporting data analysis for field experiments and randomized controlled trials

• Assisting with study pre-registration

• Supporting IRB applications

• Helping prepare registered reports

• Preparing project documentation

• Supporting preparation of research manuscripts

• Conducting background research

• Conducting literature reviews

• Coordinating with project teams

• Supporting other research-related activities as required

Key Skills & Preferred Experience

Candidates should have:

• Strong training in econometrics and statistics

• Hands-on experience with Stata

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks

• Motivation to work in an academic research environment

Preferred

Knowledge or experience in the following will be an advantage:

• R

• Python

• Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs)

• Field experiments

• Laboratory experiments

• Impact evaluation

Research & PhD Preparation
