Position Overview

About the Opportunity

The Indian Institute of Management Amritsar invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the position of Research Associate under the institute-sponsored research project titled:

“Migration, Networks and Employability”

The appointment will be purely temporary and contractual and will not confer any right to regular employment at IIM Amritsar.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• Master’s Degree from a recognized university/institution

• Significant research experience

Desirable Qualification

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Master’s degree in Human Resource Management

• Ph.D.

Experience Required

Candidates should have:

2–5 years of significant research experience

Relevant experience in academic research, data collection, analysis, report preparation, or related research activities may be useful for the position.

The research project focuses on:

• Migration

• Professional and social networks

• Employability

• Human Resource Management

• Labour and workforce studies

• Management research

Remuneration

The selected Research Associate will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration ranging from:

INR 26,000 to INR 35,000 per month

The final remuneration will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and suitability for the project.

Appointment Duration

The initial appointment will be for:

4 Months

The engagement may be extended by 1 additional month, depending on project requirements.

Age Limit

Maximum Age: 40 years as on the closing date of application.

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India norms, wherever applicable.

• No claim for regular appointment at IIM Amritsar
