The Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam (IIIT Kottayam) invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for Contract Faculty positions in Computer Science & Engineering and CSE-Cyber Security, including interdisciplinary areas. The engagement is contractual and extendable based on institutional requirements and performance.

Position Overview

About the Opportunity

IIIT Kottayam is looking for faculty candidates with outstanding academic achievements, the ability to establish a vibrant research programme, and a strong passion for teaching.

The recruitment covers Computer Science & Engineering, CSE-Cyber Security and related interdisciplinary areas.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess a PhD in interdisciplinary areas of Computer Science & Engineering, particularly in areas such as:

• Artificial Intelligence

• Data Science

• Machine Learning

• Deep Learning

• Big Data Analytics

• Software Engineering

• Cyber Security

• Cyber Forensics

• Other relevant interdisciplinary areas

Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis are also eligible to apply.

Desirable Qualification

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Postdoctoral experience

• Teaching experience at UG/PG level

Remuneration

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated remuneration of:

INR 70,000 per month

Applicable TDS will be deducted as per existing provisions.

Age Limit

Candidates should preferably be below 35 years of age as on the closing date of application.

Nature & Duration of Appointment

The position will be offered purely on a contract basis for one year from the date of joining.

Renewal of the contract may be considered depending on the candidate's performance and the requirements of the Institute.

Being included in the empanelled list does not guarantee a permanent appointment after the relevant period.

Accommodation

Shared accommodation may be available on campus for selected candidates on a chargeable basis, subject to availability.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be empanelled by IIIT Kottayam for one year from the date of publication of the result and may be deployed according to the Institute's requirements.
