The Indian Institute of Information Technology Kalyani (IIIT Kalyani) invites applications for two Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions under a TTDF (TCoE) sponsored project. Position Overview

About the Project

The JRFs will work on the project titled:

“Design and Development of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Algorithms and Security Analysis: Code Based.”

The selected candidates will carry out research related to the project and contribute to its timely and successful completion in consultation with the Principal Investigator.

The JRFs are also expected to contribute to:

• Initial drafts of reports

• Programs and scripts

• Manuscripts

• Patents arising from the project

Essential Qualification

For the JRF position, candidates must satisfy one of the following criteria:

1. Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant area with minimum CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks.

2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant area with minimum CGPA 7.5 on a 10-point scale or 70% marks. The candidate should also be GATE/NET qualified.

3. Master’s degree in Science in a relevant area with minimum CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks.

Desirable Qualification

GATE/NET qualification is desirable.

Candidates should also preferably possess:

• Practical knowledge of one or more development languages, including C/Python

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Computer programming skills

• Digital VLSI knowledge, from algorithm to chip design

• Knowledge of Coding Theory and/or Cryptology

Job Responsibilities

Selected JRFs will be expected to:

• Conduct research related to Post-Quantum Cryptography

• Support timely completion of the sponsored research project

• Develop programs and scripts

• Assist in preparing project reports

• Contribute to research manuscripts

• Support patent-related outputs arising from the project

• Work in consultation with the Principal Investigator

Fellowship

JRF Fellowship: INR 37,000 per month + HRA

The fellowship is inclusive of applicable provisions as per Institute norms.
