The Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Kurnool (IIITDM Kurnool) invites applications from interested and highly motivated candidates for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under a research project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). The position is temporary and purely contractual.

Position Overview

About the Project

The selected JRF will work on the ANRF-funded research project titled:

“Design and development of next generation high-capacity fast charging/discharging EV battery thermal management system.”

The project focuses on electric vehicle battery thermal management, including heat transfer, thermal analysis, simulation, and related engineering research.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess B.Tech./M.Tech./M.Sc. in one of the following or related disciplines:

• Mechanical Engineering

• Energy Engineering

• Automobile Engineering

• Production Engineering

• Manufacturing Engineering

• Aerospace Engineering

• Materials Engineering

• Materials Science / Metallurgical Engineering

• Thermal Engineering

• Physics

Candidates should have secured their qualifying degree with First Class.

Desired Qualification & Skills

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Hands-on experience in heat transfer / thermal management

• Experience with ANSYS Fluent

• COMSOL Multiphysics simulation

• Phase Change Material (PCM)

• EV battery thermal management

• Good technical writing skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Ph.D. Opportunity

Ph.D. scholars who have submitted their thesis or completed their Ph.D. and are interested in working in the relevant area for a short duration may also apply.

Fellowship / Emoluments

For candidates qualified through National Eligibility Test (GATE or CSIR-UGC NET)

JRF: INR 37,000 + HRA per month – 1st Year
SRF: INR 42,000 + HRA per month – 2nd Year, subject to experience and Institute rules

For candidates without National Eligibility Test qualification

1st Year: INR 30,000 + HRA per month
2nd Year: INR 33,000 + HRA per month, upon upgradation to SRF

Appointment Duration

2 Years
