The Ministry of Education, Government of India, Department of Higher Education, invites online applications for the appointment of Directors at two Indian Institutes of Information Technology: Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

About the Opportunity

The Director serves as the academic and administrative head of the institute and is responsible for providing institutional leadership in teaching, research, administration, and academic development.

The Ministry seeks distinguished academicians with proven leadership capabilities, outstanding research achievements, and substantial experience in higher education administration.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• Ph.D. in an appropriate academic discipline.

• An outstanding academic record.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Professor in a reputed educational institute.

• Proven teaching, research, and administrative experience.

• Significant experience in research guidance at the Ph.D. level.

• Demonstrated leadership ability.

Age Criteria

• Preferred Age: Candidates should preferably not be more than 60 years old.

• Maximum Age During Appointment: 65 years.

• The appointment will end after five years or upon attaining 65 years of age, whichever occurs earlier.

Salary and Benefits

The salary is prescribed under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).

Appointment Duration and Selection Process

• The appointment will be made on a contractual basis.

• Tenure: Five years or until attaining 65 years of age, whichever is earlier.

• Appointments will be made following approval by the competent authority.

• Selection will be based on recommendations of the Search-cum-Selection Committee.

• The committee will consider applications received through the advertisement and nominations from eminent persons.

1. Bachelor's degree certificate.

2. Master's degree certificate.

3. Ph.D. degree certificate.

4. No Objection Certificate (NOC), where applicable.
