The Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal (IIIT Bhopal) invites applications from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the ANRF PAIR SAKSHAM Project, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore).

The research project, titled “SAKSHAM – Scientific Advancements in Knowledge for Sustainability, Healthcare, and Materials,” is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).

The selected candidate will receive a monthly fellowship of INR 37,000 + 20% HRA. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with the next cutoff date of 15 November 2026.

Position Overview

About the Research Project

The ANRF PAIR SAKSHAM Project aims to advance scientific research in sustainability, healthcare, and materials.

The project comprises three research themes. IIIT Bhopal is participating in:

• Theme 1: Advanced Materials

• Theme 2: Health and Medical Technologies

The project will be implemented through collaboration between:

• Hub Institution: Indian Institute of Technology Indore

• Spoke Institution: Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal

The workplace may vary depending on project requirements.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess a postgraduate qualification in any of the following disciplines:

• Basic Sciences

• Engineering

• Pharmacy

• Technology

Minimum Academic Requirements:

• General category: Minimum 60% aggregate marks.

• SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PH categories: Minimum 55% aggregate marks.

The qualification must be obtained from a UGC-recognized university, institute, or autonomous institution.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates possessing:

• CSIR/UGC-NET qualification

• SET qualification

• GATE qualification

• GPAT qualification

Experience Required

Candidates with prior experience in basic research techniques applied to the following areas will be preferred:

• Advanced Materials

• Health Technologies

• Medical Technologies

Fellowship and Benefits

The selected Junior Research Fellow will receive:

Monthly Fellowship: INR 37,000

House Rent Allowance: 20% HRA, as per applicable norms.

The total monthly fellowship, including 20% HRA, is INR 44,400, subject to applicable norms.

Appointment Duration

The initial appointment will be valid up to 31 March 2027.

The appointment is likely to continue until the completion of the project, subject to project requirements and applicable conditions.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 32 years as of 15 November 2026.

Age Relaxation: Five years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, female candidates, and PH candidates, as specified in the advertisement.
