Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhopal invites applications from interested and motivated candidates for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) Early Career Research Grant project in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

Position Overview

Project Title

SENSE-VIBE: Smart Environment Sensing through Vibration and Audio-Based Intelligence

The project focuses on developing intelligent sensing solutions using vibration and audio data, with an emphasis on machine learning, deep learning, and advanced AI techniques.

Research Area

The selected JRF will work primarily in areas including:

• Machine Learning

• Deep Learning

• Time-Series Data Analysis

• Advanced Artificial Intelligence

• Transformer-Based Models

• Vibration-Based Sensing

• Audio-Based Intelligence

• Data Preprocessing and Analysis

Job Responsibilities

The Junior Research Fellow will be expected to:

• Develop and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models for time-series data.

• Learn and implement advanced AI techniques, including Transformer-based models.

• Assist with:

  • Data collection

  • Data preprocessing

  • Exploratory data analysis

• Participate in:

  • Experiments

  • Result analysis

  • Research documentation

• Support other research activities associated with the project under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.

Duration of Appointment

The appointment will initially be for 1 year.
