The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT Allahabad) has invited applications for admission to its NEP-Based Ph.D. Programmes. Eligible candidates may apply under the Institute/External Fellowship or Working Professional categories.

Ph.D. Admission Categories

1. Ph.D. with Institute/External Fellowship

Eligible applicants seeking admission with an Institute or External Fellowship can apply through the designated online admission process.

2. Ph.D. for Working Professionals

IIIT Allahabad also accepts applications from eligible working professionals. As stated in the notice, working professionals are exempted from Stage I and eligible candidates are called directly for Stage II Personal Interview.

Eligibility

Applicants must check the relevant eligibility criteria before applying, as provided by IIIT Allahabad in Annexure 1 and Annexure 2 of the admission notice.

Candidates should ensure that all information entered in the online application form is complete and accurate.

Documents Required

Applicants must upload the required documents as specified in Annexure 3 of the official admission notice.

Application Fee

• General / OBC: INR 500

• SC / ST / PwD: INR 250

The application fee can be deposited using net banking, debit card or credit card facilities.

Application charges are applicable as per the institute's norms and are stated to be non-refundable.

Candidates applying to more than one Department/Discipline must apply separately for each Department/Discipline.

Admission Process

Stage I – Computer-Based Screening Test

The Stage I examination will be a computer-based test conducted at IIIT Allahabad campus only.

The examination will consist of 100 marks, with:

• Section I: 50 marks – common/general component

• Section II: 50 marks – department-specific component

As stated in the notice, the department-wise syllabus for Section II is provided in the relevant annexure.

Stage II – Personal Interview

Candidates declared qualified in Stage I will be called for Personal Interview with a department-specific panel of experts.

The notice states that GATE/NET-qualified candidates are exempted from the Stage I computer-based examination and may proceed to the Personal Interview stage as applicable.

Working Professionals are also exempted from Stage I and eligible candidates will be called directly for Stage II.

Final Selection

Final selection will be subject to the recommendation of the Evaluation Committee and approval of the Competent Authority.

IIIT Allahabad reserves the right not to fill all available seats if suitable candidates are not found.

3. Upload all required documents listed in Annexure 3.

4. Pay the applicable application fee.
