Junior Research Assistant Recruitment 2026 at IIIT Allahabad – CSTUP-Funded VLSI Research Project

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT Allahabad) invites applications for 01 Junior Research Assistant (JRA) position on a contractual basis in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering. The position is supported by the Council of Science and Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh (CSTUP) and focuses on advanced in-memory computing and radiation-hardened memory architecture.

Position Overview

Project Title

“A Unified In-Memory Computing (IMC) Radiation-Hardened Dual-Port Memory Architecture”

The research project focuses on advanced In-Memory Computing (IMC), radiation-hardened memory architectures, CMOS/VLSI design, and dual-port memory technologies.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• B.E./B.Tech., M.Sc. or equivalent degree in:

  • Electronics and Communication Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Computer Science Engineering

  • Allied/relevant areas

Candidates should also have:

• High academic attainment

• First Class in graduation and postgraduate examination, if applicable

Candidates possessing higher qualifications are also eligible to apply.

Residency Eligibility

As per the CSTUP-funded research assistantship requirements:

• Only Indian citizens are eligible.

• Applicants must be residents of Uttar Pradesh to be considered for the Junior Research Assistant position.

Desirable Skills

Preference will be given to candidates having sound knowledge of:

• CMOS VLSI Design

Knowledge or research exposure in areas such as digital VLSI, memory architecture, semiconductor circuits, and related electronics domains may also be useful for the project.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for the Junior Research Assistant position is:

28 years as on 01 April 2026

Candidates should ensure that they satisfy the prescribed age requirement before applying.

Project Duration

The appointment will be for:

Three years or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

The position is contractual and linked to the duration of the CSTUP-funded research project.
