Overview of Role

The College of Business at Idaho State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Management position beginning in August 2027.

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, student advising, and the academic mission of the College of Business.

The College is AACSB-accredited, and the position’s primary teaching responsibilities will be in Supply Chain and Operations Management.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate Management courses.

• Teach primarily in Supply Chain and Operations Management.

• Deliver courses through multiple formats, including:

  • In-person

  • Synchronous online

  • Asynchronous online

• Conduct significant and relevant research.

• Publish in respected peer-reviewed scholarly journals.

• Provide academic and career advising to students.

• Contribute to College and University service.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• Ph.D. in Management or a closely related field

ABD candidates may be considered if they are near completion.

For appointment at the Associate Professor level, applicants must also have:

• At least 6 years of full-time college or university teaching

• Experience at the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent

• Evidence of teaching excellence

• Evidence of scholarly achievement through:

  • Refereed publications

  • Works under review

  • Works in progress

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with a demonstrated interest in teaching:

• Supply Chain Management

• Operations Management

Additional areas of interest may include:

• Strategic Management

• Entrepreneurship

• Organizational Behavior
