ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Regional Station, Shimla invites applications for 01 Young Professional-II (YP-II) position on a purely contractual and time-bound basis under an Ignite Life Science Foundation-funded research project.

Position Overview

Project Title

“Pre-breeding for Climate-Resilient and Disease-Resistant Wheat by Harnessing Genes from Triticale × Wheat-Derived Rye Chromatin”

The selected candidate will work on wheat improvement and pre-breeding research at the ICAR-IARI Regional Station, Shimla.

Research Area

The project broadly involves:

• Wheat genetics and breeding

• Pre-breeding

• Climate-resilient wheat

• Disease resistance

• Triticale and wheat-derived rye chromatin

• Crop improvement

• Plant genetics and biotechnology

Eligibility & Qualifications

Candidates must fulfil the educational qualification, experience and other eligibility requirements prescribed for the Young Professional-II position.
