ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi invites eligible candidates for a Walk-in Interview for Research Associate and Senior Research Fellow positions under externally funded projects in the Division of Genetics. The positions are unreserved, purely temporary, and co-terminus with the respective projects.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess a PhD degree in:

• Genetics

• Plant Breeding

• Genetics & Plant Breeding

• Biotechnology

• Botany

• Allied disciplines of Life Sciences

Desirable Experience

Research experience in:

• Gene expression

• Sequence analysis

• Marker development

• Multiplexing

• Molecular breeding

• Estimation of nutritional traits in field crops

Emoluments

INR 67,000 per month + HRA

2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in:

• Genetics

• Plant Breeding

• Genetics & Plant Breeding

• Seed Science & Technology

• Biotechnology

• Allied disciplines of Life Sciences

Candidates should also meet one of the following experience requirements:

• 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree, OR

• Postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years’ Bachelor’s degree + 2 years’ Master’s degree, along with NET qualification and 2 years of research experience, as prescribed under ICAR guidelines.

Desirable Experience

Research experience in:

• Genetics

• Breeding

• Application of molecular markers

Fellowship

Years 1 & 2: INR 37,000 per month + HRA
Year 3 onwards: INR 42,000 per month + HRA

HRA will be provided as applicable under ICAR norms.

Nature of Appointment

• Both positions are unreserved.

• Appointments are purely temporary.

• Positions are co-terminus with the respective projects.
