Research Project Recruitment 2026 at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi – PPA & Young Professional Positions

ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) invites eligible candidates for a Walk-in Interview for Principal Project Associate (PPA), Young Professional-II (YP-II), and Young Professional-I (YP-I) positions under the All India Network Project on Pesticide Residues & Contaminants.

Position Overview

1. Principal Project Associate (PPA)

Number of Posts: 03

Emoluments: INR 67,000 per month + HRA (fixed), as per ANRF guidelines.

Essential Qualification

Option 1:

• Master's degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences with specialization in Chemistry/Agricultural Chemistry/Agricultural Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent; and

• 8 years of experience in R&D in academic institutions, S&T organizations, scientific activities and services, including 4 years in pesticide residues.

OR

Option 2:

• Doctoral degree in Chemistry/Science/Agricultural Chemicals/Agricultural Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent; and

• 4 years of experience in R&D in scientific research institutions, S&T organizations, and scientific activities and services.

Desirable Qualification

• Research experience in Pesticide Residue Analysis Laboratory

• Accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025

• Training in sample preparation and sophisticated analytical instruments such as LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS

Upper Age Limit: 50 years

2. Young Professional-II (YP-II)

Number of Posts: 01

Emoluments: INR 42,000 per month (fixed), as per ICAR guidelines.

Essential Qualification

• Master's degree in Chemistry/Agricultural Sciences from a recognized university/institute

• Minimum 2 years of research experience

Desirable Qualification

• One-year research experience in a Pesticide Residue Analysis Laboratory

3. Young Professional-I (YP-I)

Number of Posts: 01

Emoluments: INR 30,000 per month (fixed), as per ICAR guidelines.

Essential Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Agricultural Science from a recognized university/institute

• Minimum 2 years of research experience

Desirable Qualification

• One-year research experience in a Pesticide Residue Analysis Laboratory

Nature of Appointment

The positions are offered on a contractual basis under the All India Network Project on Pesticide Residues & Contaminants.
