Overview of Role

Front Range Community College invites applications for a full-time Accounting Faculty position within the Business and Computing Technology Department at its Westminster Campus.

The successful candidate will teach Accounting courses at certificate and transfer levels, develop curriculum, support student retention and success, and use technology and student-centered teaching strategies to strengthen learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

The faculty member will:

• Teach Accounting courses at multiple levels.

• Develop and update curriculum in collaboration with colleagues.

• Use active-learning and student-centered instructional practices.

• Apply technology to support teaching and learning.

• Help students develop critical-thinking skills.

• Mentor part-time instructors.

• Participate in committees, task forces, and campus or college events.

• Support departmental and college initiatives.

• Contribute to student retention and success.

• Potentially assist with Tax Help Colorado, depending on departmental needs.

Teaching may occur:

• Face-to-face

• Online

• At different times and locations

• Across different instructional modalities

The position requires a strong on-campus presence and may involve occasional travel to other FRCC campuses.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following pathways:

Option 1

• Related Associate degree or relevant current industry license/certification

• At least 4,000 verified occupational/industry hours within the past 7 years

OR

Option 2

• Related Bachelor’s degree or any Master’s degree with at least 18 discipline-related credits

• At least 2,000 verified occupational/industry hours within the past 7 years

Relevant degree areas include:

• Accounting

• Tax Auditing

• Taxation

• Bookkeeping

• Economics

• Finance

• Investing / Investment

• Related Business Ownership or Licensing

CTE Credential Requirement

Because the position includes teaching Career and Technical Education courses, the selected candidate must:

• Already hold a valid CTE credential

OR

• Be able to obtain one within one year of appointment

Salary & Benefits

The stated annual starting salary range is approximately:

• INR 57.97 lakh at the lower end

Final starting salary will depend on education, training, relevant experience, position scope, internal equity, and market considerations.
