Overview of the Role

Florida Polytechnic University invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position in English/Communication.

The successful candidate will teach high-achieving undergraduate students in mathematics, science, and engineering through face-to-face courses focused on academic and professional communication.

Teaching Areas

Courses may include:

• Composition I – ENC 1101

• Technical Writing – ENC 2210

• Related English and Communication coursework

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Develop and deliver face-to-face courses.

• Teach English and Communication courses to undergraduate STEM students.

• Communicate effectively with students.

• Support applied and professional writing development.

• Contribute relevant teaching or industry experience where applicable.

Essential Qualification

Applicants must have:

• A Master’s degree from an accredited institution.

• At least 18 graduate credit hours in the relevant discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Previous teaching experience.

• Relevant professional or industry experience.

• Strong face-to-face course development skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Salary / Remuneration

Starting compensation will be:

Commensurate with years of teaching or professional experience.
