Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya (DHSGSU), Sagar, a Central University, invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for 01 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in the Department of Environmental Sciences under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded research project.

Position Overview

Project Title

“Unraveling the Connection Between Atmospheric Particulates Exposure and Prevalence of Respiratory Diseases in Communities Surrounding the Industrial Zone of Bundelkhand Region”

The project focuses on understanding the relationship between atmospheric particulate exposure, environmental pollution, and respiratory health among communities living around industrial areas of the Bundelkhand region.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess an M.Sc./M.Tech. in any of the following disciplines:

• Environmental Sciences

• Microbiology

• Chemistry

• Botany

• Physics

• Geology

• Environmental Engineering

Applicants should have:

• Minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA

• A good academic record

• Degree from a recognized University/Institute as per UGC norms

Candidates must also have qualified:

• CSIR-UGC NET

• GATE

• Or an equivalent examination as prescribed under ANRF guidelines

Desirable Experience

Preference will be given to candidates having relevant research experience related to the project area.

Relevant areas may include:

• Air pollution and atmospheric particulates

• Environmental monitoring

• Environmental health

• Respiratory health studies

• Environmental sciences

• Laboratory or field-based research

Fellowship

First & Second Year

INR 37,000 per month + 10% HRA

Third Year

INR 42,000 per month + 10% HRA

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is:

30 years

A relaxation of 5 years is applicable for:

• SC

• ST

• OBC

• PH candidates

• Female candidates

as per applicable rules.

Project Duration

The research project has a total tenure of:

3 Years

The appointment and continuation of the JRF will be governed by the applicable University and ANRF project norms.
