Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) invites applications from qualified candidates for one Technical Assistant (on Contract) position in the School of Management Studies. The appointment is initially for one year and may be extended up to two years.

Position Overview

About the Opportunity

The School of Management Studies, CUSAT is recruiting a Technical Assistant on a contract basis to provide technical support requiring expertise in computer systems, networking, hardware installation, and related areas.

The selected candidate will initially be appointed for one year, with the possibility of extension up to two years.

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess one of the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Electronics / MCA / M.Sc. (Computer Science), OR

• Three-year Polytechnic Diploma in the concerned/related subject or trade

Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

Experience Required

Candidates should have:

• 2 years of experience in Networking and Hardware Installation

Desirable Experience

Experience in Software Installation is desirable.

Remuneration

Consolidated Pay: INR 41,970 per month

Age Limit

Candidates should be between:

18 and 40 years

Candidates belonging to Backward Communities and SC/ST categories are eligible for the usual age relaxation as applicable.

Appointment Duration

The initial appointment will be for one year.

The appointment may be extended up to two years.

The notification also states that contractual technical staff in the School of Management Studies will be engaged from July to April, with breaks during the vacation months of May–June.

• CUSAT reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on marks obtained in the qualifying degree.

• Appointment conditions, emoluments, and other service benefits will be governed by applicable KSR, KS&SSR, University Acts/Statutes/Ordinances, and Syndicate decisions, as amended from time to time.
