Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has invited applications from qualified candidates for Faculty Recruitment on Tenure Basis at the Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering (KMSME).

Vacancy Details

1. Associate Professor – Marine Engineering

• Remuneration: INR 1,25,000 per month

• Qualification: B.Tech in Marine/Mechanical Engineering/Naval Architecture

• First Class Certificate of Competency (MEO Class-I C.O.C.)

• TOTA/VCT Course Certificate at the time of joining

• Experience: 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years as Chief Engineer Officer onboard merchant ships.

• Full-time faculty experience in a DG Shipping-approved MTI will be considered equivalent to Chief Engineer experience.

• Desirable: M.Tech in Marine Engineering and AECS course certificate.

2. Assistant Professor – Engineering Mathematics

• Remuneration: INR 47,000/month for candidates with Ph.D. and INR 45,000/month for candidates without Ph.D. (effective from 01 July 2026)

• Qualification: Master’s Degree in Mathematics with at least 55% marks or equivalent.

• NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or an equivalent accredited test, OR

• Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.

• Desirable: B.Ed./M.Ed. from a UGC-approved university.
