Overview of Role

The Department of Economics at Colby College invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Macroeconomics.

The department seeks a macroeconomist with strong potential for excellence in both research and teaching who can contribute to the Macroeconomics curriculum, particularly at the intermediate level. Faculty members also develop elective courses informed by their individual research expertise.

• Teach courses in Macroeconomics, particularly at the intermediate level.

• Develop elective courses related to the candidate’s scholarly expertise.

• Teach approximately 4.5 courses per academic year.

• Maintain an active research and scholarship agenda.

• Contribute to high-quality undergraduate teaching.

• Participate in departmental and college service.

• Support student learning, mentoring, and academic development.

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. completed before September 1, 2027.

• Academic expertise in Macroeconomics.
