Cogent Business & Management invites submissions for an Article Collection examining bribery risk management, anti-bribery measures, ethics, governance, stakeholder management, and compliance within sport organizations.
About the Article Collection
Anti-bribery management has become increasingly important across business sectors, with organizations implementing preventive measures, compliance systems, and risk-mitigation mechanisms. However, the effectiveness of these approaches varies considerably across industries. This Collection focuses specifically on the sport sector and the distinctive challenges associated with preventing and managing bribery risks.
Sport organizations operate in an environment characterized by strong stakeholder pressure, significant public scrutiny, and values such as integrity, ethics, and fair play. At the same time, intense competition, substantial financial flows, sponsorship arrangements, gambling connections, player transfers, event bidding, and federation politics can create distinctive bribery and governance risks. The Collection therefore seeks interdisciplinary research exploring how sport organizations identify, assess, prevent, and manage these risks.
