Overview of Role

City University of Hong Kong invites applications for faculty positions in Finance at the levels of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, and Chair Professor on a substantiation-track basis. The Department of Economics and Finance seeks strong scholars across all areas of Finance, with candidates expected to develop high-quality research programmes and contribute to undergraduate and graduate education.

Key Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

• Conduct high-quality research and develop a strong research programme in Finance.

• Teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.

• Supervise and mentor MPhil and PhD students.

• Contribute to education, student mentorship, and the academic development of the department.

• Professors and Associate Professors are expected to undertake administrative duties as required by the Head of Department.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Required Education: PhD in Finance or a closely related field by the time of appointment.

• Experience & Specializations: Strong research potential and evidence of quality teaching; candidates are welcomed from all areas of Finance.
