The Department of Management in the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Management.

• Contribute to the undergraduate Business Administration and MBA programs.

• Conduct scholarly and applied research.

• Participate in departmental, college, university, and professional service.

• Develop and enhance Management curriculum.

• Use high-impact teaching approaches such as:

  • Service learning

  • Live business cases

  • Problem-based learning

• Potentially teach in:

  • Executive MBA Program

  • Accelerated Bachelor’s in Business Administration Program

• Supervise MBA student consulting teams.

• Conduct workshops and seminars for the local business community.

• Collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

Required Education:

• Earned Ph.D. or DBA in:

  • Operations Management

  • International Management

  • Closely related discipline

• Degree should normally be from an AACSB-accredited institution or a comparable institution.

• ABD candidates may be considered.

• Doctorate must be completed by August 1, 2027.

Required Experience:

• Evidence of scholarly and research activity.

• Undergraduate teaching experience.

• Potential to teach effectively across multiple Management areas at undergraduate and graduate levels.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Commitment to student success.

• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates with:

• Demonstrated excellence as an instructor of record.

• Publications in scholarly journals.

• Graduate-level teaching experience.

• Experience conducting community-based workshops and seminars.

• Relevant professional business experience.

Reighard Endowed Chair Opportunity

Exceptionally well-qualified candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level may also be considered for the Reighard Endowed Chair.

The endowed chair is a five-year appointment and includes:

Remuneration & Benefits

For the Assistant Professor rank, the anticipated hiring range is approximately:

INR 10.34 lakh – INR 11.30 lakh per month

With 12 monthly payments per academic year, this is approximately:

INR 1.24 crore – INR 1.36 crore annually

Final compensation will depend on qualifications and experience.

The position also includes access to the California State University system’s faculty benefits package.
