Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani invites applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) under an ANRF-sponsored research project. The positions are associated with the K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa, and Pilani Campus, Rajasthan.

Position Overview

Project Title

“INDRA-OT: Integrated Network Defense Response and Analysis for OT and SCADA Networks”

The project focuses on advanced research in network security, particularly the protection, monitoring and analysis of Operational Technology (OT) and SCADA networks.

Research Area

The broad area of research is:

Network Security

Relevant areas may include:

• Cyber Security

• Operational Technology (OT) Security

• SCADA Security

• Network Defense

• Threat Detection and Analysis

• Critical Infrastructure Security

• Computer and Network Systems

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course and should have been selected through an eligible national-level examination/process.

Eligible selection routes include:

National Eligibility Tests

• CSIR-UGC NET

• UGC NET, including Lectureship / Assistant Professorship

• GATE

National-Level Examinations

Candidates selected through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments, agencies or institutions such as:

• ANRF

• DST

• DBT

• DAE

• DOS

• DRDO

• MHRD / Ministry of Education

• ICAR

• IITs

• IISc

• IISERs

• Other recognized government institutions/agencies

Fellowship / Stipend

The selected Junior Research Fellow will receive:

INR 37,000 per month + HRA

HRA will be provided as per applicable project and institute norms.

Accommodation

Hostel accommodation may be provided, subject to availability.

Accommodation will be governed by the institute rules and regulations prevailing at the time of joining.

Project Duration

The sponsored research project has a duration of:

5 Years

Appointment and continuation of the JRF position will be governed by project requirements and applicable institute/funding agency norms.
