The Department of Physics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under an ANRF-New Delhi funded research project. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Position Overview

Project Title

Development and Characterization of Functional Chalcogenide-Polymer Composites for Flexible and Wearable Electronics

The project has been sanctioned for a period of three years.

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• M.Sc. degree in Physics

• Minimum 55% marks

• Must have qualified NET/GATE

Desirable Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates having research experience in:

• Material Science

• Chalcogenide-Polymer Composites

Fellowship

INR 37,000 per month + HRA

HRA will be provided as per University rules.

Age Limit

Upper Age Limit: 28 years

Age relaxation is available as follows:

• Up to 5 years for SC/ST, female, and physically challenged candidates

• Up to 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates

• Other conditions will be governed by Government of India rules

The advertisement also states that SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per Government of India rules.

Appointment Duration

The research project is sanctioned for three years.

The JRF position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
