Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 at Aligarh Muslim University – Contractual MBA Faculty Positions

The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh invites applications for 02 Assistant Professor positions in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme. The appointments are contractual and temporary for the Academic Session 2026–27.

Position Overview

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, and

• Master’s Degree in any of the following:

  • Business Administration

  • PGDM

  • C.A.

  • ICWA

  • M.Com

• First Class or equivalent in the prescribed qualification.

• Minimum two years of professional experience after obtaining the Master’s Degree.

Professional Experience

Professional experience may include experience acquired through Teaching, Research, or work in Industry.

Teaching Experience

Full-time experience of teaching MBA students at a recognized University or institution.

Research Experience

Full-time Doctoral/Postdoctoral research experience at a recognized University or institution.

Industry Experience

Full-time managerial experience in a reputed national or international organization.

Relevant Field for Ph.D.

For this recruitment, a Ph.D. in the “Relevant Field” means a Ph.D. in:

• Business Administration, or

• Management

Relaxation in Marks

A relaxation of 5% marks at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level will be provided to eligible candidates belonging to categories including:

• SC

• ST

• OBC – Non-Creamy Layer

• Differently-Abled categories as prescribed in the advertisement

The eligibility of 55% marks or equivalent grade will be considered on the basis of qualifying marks without including any grace marks.

Candidates should refer to the official advertisement for complete category-wise relaxation provisions.

Self-attested copies of the following documents must be enclosed with the application:

1. High School Certificate from a recognized Board

2. Graduation mark sheet and degree

3. Post-Graduation mark sheet and degree

4. NET/JRF/SLET/SET/CSIR or equivalent certificate, wherever applicable

5. M.Phil./Ph.D. degree, wherever applicable

6. Experience certificates, wherever applicable

Applicants from a Madrasa educational background should provide an appropriate equivalence certificate for High School or Graduation issued/recognized by the University, wherever applicable.

Salary

The selected Assistant Professors will receive a fixed remuneration of INR 40,000 per month.

The appointments are purely temporary for the Academic Session 2026–27 and do not confer any right to regular appointment.
