Applied Economics invites submissions for a Special Issue examining global monetary policy issues and challenges, particularly in an environment shaped by economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, financial instability, climate risks, health crises, and rapid technological change.
About the Special Issue
Monetary policy has become increasingly complex as policymakers respond to interconnected global shocks, including pandemics, regional conflicts, natural disasters, financial instability, energy insecurity, and changing trade relationships. These developments raise important questions about the effectiveness of conventional and unconventional monetary interventions across different economies.
The Special Issue seeks research evaluating monetary policy responses and examining the interaction between monetary and fiscal policies, financial markets, economic cycles, technological change, climate risks, and economic growth. Contributions offering actionable insights into effective policy responses under heightened uncertainty are particularly relevant.
