Manuscript Submission Deadline: 01 July 2027
American Communist History invites submissions for its Special Issue on The Long-Life of Anticommunism.
About the Special Issue
This Special Issue explores anticommunism as a persistent and structural force in American political, social, and cultural life rather than a phenomenon confined to specific historical moments. It encourages critical scholarship examining how anticommunism has shaped public policy, political discourse, social movements, and institutional practices across different periods of U.S. history.
The issue welcomes interdisciplinary contributions that investigate the relationship between anticommunism and labor, race, gender, sexuality, state power, popular culture, and political ideology. Scholars are encouraged to provide historical, theoretical, or comparative perspectives that deepen understanding of the enduring influence of anticommunist thought and practice.
