Sunway Business School at Sunway University is seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our growing academic community as a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Business Analytics.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with expertise in business analytics, information systems, and related disciplines to contribute to teaching, research, and service in a leading private university in Malaysia.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

Research:

• Lead and conduct cutting-edge research in Business Analytics and related areas.
• Publish in top-tier peer-reviewed journals (Q1/Q2 Scopus indexed).
• Develop and secure external research funding.
• Supervise postgraduate research (Masters and Doctoral students).
• Build strong academic networks and collaborative research projects.

Teaching:

• Deliver engaging teaching across face-to-face and online platforms.
• Innovate in pedagogy and assessment for meaningful learning outcomes.
• Lead curriculum design and continuous improvement of programmes.
• Provide effective student mentoring and supervision.

Service:

• Contribute to academic leadership and administration.
• Support student recruitment, outreach, and engagement initiatives.
• Facilitate departmental operations and programme management.
• Provide academic guidance and counselling to students.
• Mentor early-career academics and support professional development.

🔹 Requirements

• A PhD in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
• Demonstrated research productivity with 2–3 Q1/Q2 publications in reputable journals (Emerald, Elsevier, IEEE, Sage, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Wiley).
• Technical expertise in:
• Programming languages: R, Python, HTML5, CSS, PHP
• Analytic tools: Tableau, Power BI, SmartPLS
• Teaching proficiency in:
• Web Design & Development
• Enterprise Resource Planning / Management
• Sustainable Information Systems
• Data Visualization & Business Intelligence
• Data Mining
• Python for Business Analytics
• Machine Learning
